The logic of security is a self-replicating mode of being where the Other becomes the antithesis to the ideal state.  That state is an illusion of power and manipulation that functions to order our understanding of the world through an ethnocentric and patriarchal conception of difference making violence inevitable.  The Aff. will say we have no choice but to avoid extinction scenarios but this just proves that security politics leaves you with no epistemological choice because calculations are “rationally” pre-determined  the alternative is try-or die to affirm ethics, agency and value to life.  Instead, we should refuse security politics to affirm agency as decision-makers.  This opens up new avenues for ethical policy analysis to challenge and rewrite the politics of security
